What is the most common type to run across? I'm curious about the possible number of all Arisakas, T44's, T38's, T97's, T99's, T99 snipers, ect. I know that this is an impossible question to answer since so many were destroyed in battle, just plain lost, and after the surrender were destroyed and thrown into the ocean. I'm just looking for educated guesses as to what you who know much more than I on the subject may think. Thanks in advance for any input, its greatly appreciated .

I've heard that as much as half of all production was destroyed by the end of the war. Not to mention damage during the war, and destruction due to Bubba. T44's and snipers are fairly rare. T99s are the most common, but specific series within the T99 family are very very rare. For example, I've never encountered a Mukden or Jinsen T99, But have seen several T44's, a few T97s and a couple of T99 snipers up close.

At A auction A couple week's ago, I brought five home. 3, 38's 2, 99's. All non import, all but one with the mum. two 38 trainer's. I've bought some other's local. Not one has A import mark. A lot of Missouri country boy's brought home some souvenir's I guess. Anyway there's A bunch. I would say the previous letter would get as close as anyone could guess.
